FAQ's
Q : How long have you been shooting weddings?
A: I’ve been shooting weddings for 14 years now but have been passionate about photography for many years and had photos published in various magazines, on book covers and advertisements.
Q : How would you describe your style?
A: I try and capture natural, un-posed shots with a modern contemporary feel, trying to notice the finer details that may go unnoticed. I would say I shoot a mixture of traditional and contemporary shots and will always blend into the background.
Q : As well as the informal shots do you do formal family shots too?
A: Yes I do. Before the wedding I ask you to fill in a form I provide so we can shoot the formal shots as quickly as possible and not miss any family members out. I do advise couples to keep these shots to a minimum as you don’t want the formal shots to take over the day.
Q : Do you carry additional backup equipment?
A: I carry two extra camera bodies and additional flashguns.
Q : Are you insured?
A: Yes I am I have a public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
Q : What happens if you are ill on our wedding day?
A: I have been self employed for 26 years and very rarely taken a day off sick but obviously you can never say never, It would have to be a major problem for me not to attend a wedding. In the unlikely event I know of several photographers who could possibly cover me so I would endeavour to get your day covered.
Q : Do you work alone or have an assistant?
A: I generally prefer to work alone but if the wedding is a large event I sometimes feel it would beneficial to bring an assistant along.
Q : Do you visit the venue before the planned wedding?
A: If I don't know the venue already I will go and see the venue before, If the venue is a distance away I will go an hour earlier on the wedding day so I can check out the location and shoot some of the preparation shots.
Q : How many images do we get and when will we receive them?
A: I generally say 500- 600 images depending on how long I'm at your wedding. I endeavor to have your images ready 2 weeks after you return from your honeymoon possibly sooner, depending on my work load, your image swill be presented to you on a USB stick.
Q : How can I view my images?
A: All packages included a USB stick containing high and low resolution files. Your own password protected web gallery that you and your family can order prints from and of course a beautiful album if your package includes one.
Q : Can you tailor make me a package to suit our day?
A: Absolutely! However small or big your wedding is let me know your plans and I’ll put together a package that will include everything you want and adjust the price accordingly.
Q : How do I book you and do you require a deposit?
A: If we haven't already spoken, call or email to check my availability. If you’d like to meet up I have a studio based at home in Pembury (near Tunbridge Wells), I normally meet with couples in an evening or a weekend if I’m not working. If I'm available, you like my style and want to book I require a booking form to be filled in and a £250.00 deposit to secure the date.
Please don't hesitate to contact me or call if you have any more questions you’d like to ask.
